I am a firm believing in outreach actions to inform the public on the beauty of nuclear and many-body physics among sciences. I held dissemination seminars across the education system, from primary to PhD schools.
Since I moved from Italy, my outreach activity mostly consists in:
- Scientific consultant and frequent guest of “Le Oche” north-Italy radio broadcast (~50 thousands listeners), “La Repubblica” newspaper, the most sold Italian newspaper.
- Personal Italian blog PhMe.it, with English sub-blog WILT. A related Facebook page (800 “likes”).
- A YouTube page.
- All these activities are now linked through the group telegram group @scienza. With more than 300 members, it is the most active Italian telegram group on science. Counting several PhDs, physicians and professionals, it creates contact with university and high school students.
Thanks to the daily feedback received, I experimented a new type of hands-on-research outreach. It involves sharing codes on github and explaining them through the platforms.
